Cold rain falls today. very very cold....

Do you know the town called Akihabara?
(あきはばら/秋葉原)
If you are an anime fan, you may know it. 
But originally, Akihabara was not the town of  anime.

What of the town was Akihabara in old days?

Akihabara is the town which sells  electric part.
These are  not candy.These are condensers.(^^)

The persons who creates electronics(such as the radio) by themselves visits these shops.

These shops still open today.

However, Akihabara was swallowed by tsunami of Moe.(^^)

Sumo and HeavyMetal

This is Japanese television program of the Sumo.
It broadcasts this program from NHK. 
NHK=Japan's national public broadcasting organization


An announcer interviews a sumo wrestler.

Right side strange man is Japanese famous heavy-metal rockstar.

His name is "Daemon Kogure".(Band=Seikimatsu) 聖飢魔Ⅱ（せいきまつ）


He is well-read about sumo.
So He sometimes appears in a sumo program on TV.


It's however a funny scene.(^^;)

Spring has come in Japan?

It is the Depths of Winter in Japan now. Last week it snowed in Tokyo.

This street is called Sakuradoori. (さくらどおり/桜通り）

"Sakura" means cherry trees."doori"  means street or avenue.

 Because cherry trees form a line a lot, this street is called so it.It was very very cold(T_T)

I want it to be spring early. 

Today,the Haru-ichiban  blew in tokyo.Do you know Haru-ichiban? 

Haru-ichiban=春一番/はるいちばん
Haru-ichiban is called "the spring's first south wind" in English.

"the spring's first south wind" is the beginning of spring!!

When it is April, a cherry tree blooms in the Sakuradoori.

The Japanese drinks liquor and eat a delicious dish while watching cherry blossoms.

This is called ’Hana-mi’.(花見/はなみ). 'Hana' means a flower. 'mi' means viewing.

In April, Japanese loves cherry blossoms. But early in March,we looks forward to that the flower of the plum blooms.

On the next time, I am going to upload  the photo of the flower of a beautiful plum!!

And early summer comes when spring passes.
I think that early summer is the best season.

A secondhand bookstore which seems to collapse....

This is a secondhand bookstore in Tokyo Japan.

Wow! It seems to collapse! but the shop opens today. 

The bookshelf is bent with the heaviness of the books.

Only a cat sleeps comfortably.

Technical progress is empty.
It is only one book to be necessary for us...
